The Jonathan Harrington House is located on Harrington Road, across from the Battle Green, in Lexington, Massachusetts. The historic home was a witness to the Battle of Lexington, on April 19, 1775. Legend states that Jonathan Harrington, a militiaman fighting against the British on that day, was mortally wounded during the skirmish, and dragged himself to the front door of his home, where he died at his wife's feet. The circa 1690 house has undergone renovations over the years, but still sits in its same spot across from Lexington Green that it occupied the day of that famous battle. There is a sign on the house acknowledging what happened.
