The Hotel Harrington is located on 11th Street in Washington, D.C. The building first opened in March, 1914 and remains the city's oldest continuously operating hotel. Although other hotels in the city attract the wealthy and famous, the Harrington has always drawn the tourists. It has seen it's small share of local history as well. In 1938 it was the city's first air conditioned hotel, and in early 1950's it was the home to D.C.'s first television station, Dumont's W3XWT. It also hosted the Milt Grant Show, a local American Bandstand imitator.
