The Bullitt home is located on Taylor Street in San Francisco, California. The exterior of this apartment was used as the home of Frank Bullitt in the 1968 crime thriller. The film was shot in and around San Francisco during 1968, with Steve McQueen starring as the police lieutenant. This location can be seen a few times in the film, most notably when Bullitt parks his Ford Mustang GT across the street, gets out and enters the nearby corner market (which still stands), loads up on TV dinners, then walks across the street to his home. The film's standout set piece is it's 10 minute car chase, which is considered among the best in film history. The film was released in October of 1968, to commercial and critical success.
