The Mozart Geburtshaus is located on Geitreidegasse in Salzburg, Austria. It is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The famous composer was born here on January 27, 1756. The home was originally rented by his father, Leopold, shortly after his marriage to Anna Maria Pertl in November of 1747. Both Mozart and his sister Nannerl would live here with the family, in the third floor apartment, until 1783. The house has been a museum since 1880.
