Oliver Hardy's home is on Alta Drive in Beverly Hills, California. The famed screen comedian had been living in Los Feliz for a number of years, during which time he bounced around from studio to studio, finding steady work, but not yet making his mark. Screen success finally happened in 1928 when he was paired with Stan Laurel at the Hal Roach Studios. With his newfound success on the big screen he was able to purchase this bigger home in Beverly Hills. He lived here with his wife, Myrtle, until they divorced in 1937. It was during this time he made the majority of his classic comedies at Roach.
