George Harrison Birthplace - Liverpool

George Harrison's birthplace is on Arnold Grove in Liverpool, England.  The future singer/songwriter and member of the Beatles was born here on February 23, 1943.  He was the youngest of four children born to Harold Hargreaves and Louise Harrison.  The small two-story house, which Harrison's parents began renting in 1930, had a single coal fire and outdoor toilet, yet they managed to raise their children here in as happy an environemnt as circumstances would allow.  In 1949 the family moved to a home on Upton Green.
