Frank Sinatra's birthplace site is located on Monroe Street in Hoboken, NJ. The singer was born on December 12, 1915, in the four-story apartment building that once stood on this site. The Sinatras were one of several families that occupied the building. They lived here until 1927, when they moved to nearby Park Avenue. In 1967 a fire destroyed the building and the ruin was eventually razed. There is an arch in front of the empty lot, and a star on the ground in front commemorating his birth here.
