Jean Harlow's home is on East 79th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. It was here the future screen star lived from 1919 to 1923. She was born Harlean Carpenter on March 3, 1911, in Kansas City, to Mont Clair Carpenter and Jean Poe Harlow, in a home on Olive Street, which no longer stands. The unhappy Carpenters lived in several homes in the area before finally moving into this 18 room, red brick house in 1919. While living here, young Jean attended Miss Barstow's Finishing School for Girls. It was at this time, in 1922, that her parents divorced. Jean and her mother continued living here until 1923, when they moved to Hollywood.
