Walt Disney's home is on Bellefontaine Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1911, Elias Disney moved his family from Marceline, Missouri, to this home. He purchased a newspaper delivery route for The Kansas City Star, and his sons, young Walt Disney and his brother, Roy, delivered papers every morning and evening for the next six years. The family moved back to Chicago in 1917, but Walt returned to Kansas City in 1919 to begin his artistic career. In 1921 he formed the Laugh-O-Gram Studio on nearby 31st Street and began producing his first series of cartoons.
