The Jefferson Airplane's home is on Fulton Street in San Francisco, California. This three-storey Colonial Revival style house was built in 1904 by lumberman John Vance. The house survived the devastation of the 1906 quake and remained in the family until 1968 when it was purchased by the future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group. Over the years the seventeen room mansion served as their headquarters, home, office, rehearsal studion, until it was sold in the 1980's. The address later served as the title for the band's 1987 greatest hits compilation.
