James Stewart Home - Pennsylvania

James Stewart's home is on North 7th Street in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  The future screen star was born on May 20, 1908, in a house which once stood on Philadelphia Street, about two blocks west and two blocks south, of this, his childhood home.  The family moved here when he was five, in a house which sits on Vinegar Hill, overlooking the town of Indiana.  He attended Mercersburg Academy from 1924 to 1928, and then enrolled in Princeton in the fall of 1928.  His father would remain here until his death in 1961.
